#News Cyber Group Studios to Present Final Fantasy IX Animated Series at Las Vegas Licensing Expo *anime

Paris-based studio presents series based on Square Enix RPG

Paris-based Cyber Group Studios' vice president of international licensing and marketing Bruno Danzel d'Aumont told Animation Business Magazine in an interview published on Sunday that the studio will present the animated series based on Square Enix's Final Fantasy IX for the first time at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas. The event will take place from Tuesday to Thursday.

Cyber Group Studios will also debut the Digital Girl, The McFire Family, and Press Start! animated series at the expo. d'Aumont stated that the four series \"have a strong licensing appeal for different age targets.\"

Paris-based Cyber Group Studios has signed a co-development and co-production deal with Square Enix to create an animated series for 8- to 13-year-olds. Cyber Group Studios' CEO Pierre Sissman previously stated that the company aimed to begin production by the end of 2021 or beginning of 2022. The company has not finalized the project's number or length of episodes.

Cyber Group is handling worldwide distribution, licensing, and merchandise, and it plans to offer the series to potential broadcasters in the coming months.

Final Fantasy IX debuted on PlayStation in 2000. Square Enix most recently re-released the Final Fantasy IX game on Nintendo Switch and Xbox One in March 2019. Square Enix re-released Final Fantasy IX on the PlayStation 4 in September 2017. It previously re-released the game on iOS and Android devices in February 2016, and on PC via Steam in April 2016.

#News Monster Hunter Rise's Sunbreak Expansion Videos Preview 5 More Weapons *gaming

CAPCOM began streaming five more videos on Friday and Monday previewing the new weapon moves available in the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion for the Monster Hunter Rise game.





The expansion will debut for Switch and PC via Steam on June 30.

Players who already own the base Monster Hunter Rise game can purchase the expansion as DLC. There is also a set including both the base game and Sunbreak expansion. The game is also getting three new amiibo that will unlock costume sets in the game.

The base game is getting a title update on June 30 in preparation for the new expansion.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will have an all-new story, with new locations to visit, as well as new gameplay mechanics. It will feature the new Elder Dragon Malzeno and the new Master Rank. The expansion will also bring back the Shogun Ceanataur from Monster Hunter 2 along with several other monsters from previous games in the series including Monster Hunter 4's Seregios as well as two new monsters, Magma Almudron and Aurora Somnacanth.

Monster Hunter Rise launched on Switch on March 2021 and then launched on PC via Steam on January 12. The game has surpassed 8 million copies shipped in both physical and digital sales worldwide.

The franchise's games have shipped a cumulative 78 million units as of September 30.

The Eiga Got?bun no Hanayome (The Quintessential Quintuplets the Movie) sequel anime film sold approximately 290,000 tickets to earn 390 million yen (about US$3.06 million) in its first three days at the box office in Japan. The film debuted at #2 for the weekend of May 21-22.

The Quintessential Quintuplets the Movie opened on Friday, and its runtime exceeds 130 minutes. The film serves as the finale for the story.

Attendees of the film are receiving a special book volume 14.5 as a bonus, which features a new bonus chapter 122+1 that takes place after the original ending.
