Something I find particularly interesting about Godot is it seems to have replaced a lot of the GetComponent stuff that Unity is saddled with. Groups seem to be very similar to tags and are still a thing, but signals and custom methods seem to have replaced a lot of the code you'd have to write up just to even grab other objects in the game during runtime. It's weird but it works and it probably explains a bit why Godot is so damn fast.

I like how lightweight the software is as well, should have taken the time to get used to it earlier so maybe Unity's security breach was a blessing in disguise to push me to something more efficient to begin with.
